DESCRIPTION:  Russian neoclassic design from the era of Catherine II; remarkable for its compound serpentine configuration its sumptuous patterns of veneers and inlays; top is resplendent with French walnut book-matched veneers and crossbanding; oval inlays of maple and tulipwood, framed by walnut benchwork, embellish the doors; three drawers; center drawer has silver insert; one adjustable wood shelf in each compartment.
