DESCRIPTION:  This cocktail table of early 19th century Regency influence is an anthology of classical motifs: a Greek inspired, inlaid band of satinwood and select veneers, cornered with classical palmettes, frames the top of matched French walnut; the movement of water - a classical theme - is simulated in the richly carved frieze rail; the channeled sabre legs, solid-brass lion masks and hand-carved paw feet complete the decorative return to antiquity.
