DESCRIPTION:  Wood top. Three-drawer chest of 18th century Russian origins featuring bold geometric shapes inset with Macassar ebony, surrounded in brass and set with hand-cast brass drop-handles and pulls. The top conforms to the canted corners adding solidity to the overall look, as do the fluted posts and canted legs, ending in brass sabots.
