Stickley Audi & Co. is pleased to announce its participation in the 2019 This Old House Idea House in a classic-meets-contemporary home located in the coveted historic district of downtown New Canaan, Connecticut. Constructed on a site with a stately-but-dilapidated 1840s-era Greek Revival, the Idea House will retain the home’s architectural façade while downsizing from 7,500 square feet of haphazard additions to a well-designed 6,000 square foot home. The first floor entry and dining room and second floor master bedroom suite (including the walk-in closets, bathroom and master balcony) are styled with furnishings from the newly renovated Stickley Audi & Co. showroom in White Plains, NY. Upon entering the Idea House, visitors will be greeted by the Stickley Modern Loft Sideboard, handcrafted in Manlius, NY. The dining room features pieces from the Stickley Park Slope collection. The master bedroom retreat features Stickley’s latest collection, Walnut Grove. The public will be invited to tour the home during an Open House Celebration on Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 12:00-4:00pm and on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 1:00-5:00pm. TOH crew members, including Norm Abram, Tom Silva, Richard Trethewey, Kevin O’Connor and Jeff Sweenor, will be on site Saturday to meet visitors. Stickley’s Director of Design Marissa Brown will also be on-site Saturday and Sunday to greet the public and discuss the Park Slope and Walnut Grove collections. Stickley Audi & Co. maintains sixteen showrooms across the country and offers top brands including Stickley, Nichols & Stone, and Stearns & Foster. Learn more.
