For more than 120 years, Stickley has stood for unparalleled American craft. And our story began with three words: “Als Ik Kan”—to the best of my ability.
A sub-collection of Mission, our best-selling Highlands Collection preserves traditional Mission lines and style while appearing distinctly modern, thanks to the influence of Scottish Arts and Crafts. Highlands is handcrafted in upstate New York of sustainably sourced solid cherry or quartersawn white oak.
Highlands design details are a nod to a Scottish variant of the Arts and Crafts movement. Artists of the Glasgow School—most notably the architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh—embraced a more decorative, modernist style, echoed here in exaggerated chair backs, laser etching, and pierced end slats.
I Have a Secret!
Like many Mission products from Stickley, a number of Highlands casegoods have built-in secret compartments; they aren’t visible to the eye and are perfect for storing sensitive documents or valuables. Visit your local Stickley Authorized Dealer to find out more!
