Find your Nearest LocationWe have bought 6 pieces of furniture from Stickley in the past, and so far we had been very pleased with their products.
This last purchase was a big disappointment.
We ordered a Nichols and Stone Wayside bed based on the description in the Stickley website. The bed was described as being made of “solid cherry.” The photo in the advertisement shows a bed with beautiful unblemished wood. When we received the bed, it had a distressed finish, covered with dings and pockmarks. Naturally, we refused the order.
Stickley has agreed to take the bed back, but is asking for a 10% restocking fee. When we spoke with them, they seemed to agree that their add is not accurate.
In our opinion, we are being unfairly asked to pay a restocking fee (hundreds) when the mistake was not ours. It is doubtful we will purchase from this supplier again, unless we can preview the product.
Thank you for contacting Stickley Furniture. We are sorry for the miscommunication on this finish. This finish is standard with physical distressing and cowtailing. We have updated our website to explain this finish. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
