Stickley has been in our family for decades, my Grandmother-n-Law purchased a sofa, chair & ottoman from Mrs. Louise Stickley herself! I think she was politely scolded by a salesman for selling furniture off the floor. She meant no harm. As of today, we still use that living room set.
We have so many Stickley pieces, a main living room full of Stickley, our dining room, including a beautiful hutch and our bedroom (Cherry Valley finish) is also all Stickley!
The tabletop bookcase is something we would love to own; it’s even shown in the finish that our formal living room is full of (Onondaga) however, Stickley’s prices have risen completely out of our price range. It’s very sad to see.
There are several items that we own, one being a small clock which we bought for $65 is now priced at $399.
Our dining room chairs, the hutch and a couple of other pieces have the design carved into the wood; we have just learned it’s not carved anymore but it’s a sticker? We were speechless!
We absolutely love every piece of Stickley that we have purchased!! There is one chair & ottoman that I absolutely I fell in love with - The Leopold Chair!
Unfortunately, over the years of purchasing Stickley, the cost has become completely out of reach.
Many years ago, my husband was interviewed by our local newspaper over his love of Stickley, his knowledge of how it’s made and the collection of pieces we have.
It’s funny, as a young boy, he used to run around the factory, now the Stickley Museum, until his Mom told him he needed to go and sit on the steps out front.
Stickley is amazing furniture!
